Case Study
EDF Energy - AirVersent ServiceNet
With a combined total of 1,700 mobile engineers covering a range of tasks from meter operations to meter reading, EDF Energy’s challenge was to unite these once separate utilities into a single, cohesive operation, to establish central management with tight controls and business process sets and a single unitary IT infrastructure for managing the daily tasks of all engineers.
EDF achieved their aim of uniting three separate utilities through the use of a common mobility platform, capable of managing the disparate workforce and multiple task types. Total control of the mobile operation was provided to EDF management, who for the first time since the acquisition, are now able to benefit from a multi-skilled workforce providing real-time information to the enterprise with accurate MIS enabling greater efficiencies.
